Eric York

While there is no telling just how prosperous Pete Karjanen may have been in the adult industry, there is no denying that Eric York has flourished. One in the same, this Swedish-born, Finnish-bred hunk changed his name on the simple premise that ‘Karjanen’, was, in his own words, simply too hard to “remember, spell, or say.” It was a very wise decision, as over the course of an 11-year span between 1994 and 2005, York appeared in over 80 films, many devoted to fans of big cocked, large muscled, blue collar rowdiness. Then again, what other career avenue would make such perfect sense for this former clothing model and certified personal instructor? In addition to his film work, York has appeared on the cover of numerous gay adult magazines and he even appeared alongside supermodel Nicky Taylor in Vogue. He also won the 1996 Best Versatile Performer Award given out by the Adam Gay Video Guide. York has come a long way from the Santa Monica gay club in which he was discovered, however, despite appearing on film as recently as 2009, unconfirmed rumors persist that he has since retired from the industry.
